The founding father of the Victor-Franz-Hess Society and Echophysics, who died unexpectedly on Dec. 26, 2019, was honored at the virtual 4th International Conference on the History of Physics at Trinity College Dublin on June 4, 2021 with a touching obituary. Peter Maria Schuster is considered the actual initiator of this international conference series, which began in Cambridge in 2014, and continued in Pöllau (2016) and San Sebastian (2018) and had to be postponed from 2020 to 2022 (Dublin) due to the pandemic. The idea of this conference is to bring together historians and physicists for a joint scientific debate. The event is supported by the European Physical Society (EPS) and the Institute of Physics (IOP), UK.
