The laudation speech and acceptance speech (in the absence of the award winner) were given by Malcolm Cooper (IOP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n For most of his career Michael Eckert contributed to the history of physics at the Research Institute of the Deutsches Museum.
